Curapipe’s TALR Solution Made a Splash at WATEC Italia 2018

Updated: Feb 8, 2019

The third edition of WATEC Italy took place in Cremona during October 24 – 27, 2018. This international trade fair focuses on the water, irrigation, sewage and environmental protection sectors.

Our Italian licensee Pipecare Italia showcased Curapipe’s TALR solution which draw a lot of attention.

TALR stands for Trenchless Automated Leakage Repair and it is designed to provide an internal pipeline leakage repair solution for multiple leaks in a water distribution network.

TALR is especially suitable for pipelines with heavy leakage from multiple leak sources within treatable pipe sections that are not required to be replaced due to an end of life situation.

TALR acts as a stand-alone system that self-detects water leaks in a pipe and automatically repairs them. TALR can be used in pipes made of a wide range of materials such as concrete, iron, steel, asbestos, etc.

During the exhibition, the press also showed an interest and interviewed Nicola Ruggiero of Pipecare. His translated quote:

We distribute [the TALR] technology and specialize in the management of massive losses of water occurring in large [water mains and service pipes]. We do this without resorting to digging. [TALR] is an innovative solution that reduces intervention times and costs“.
